McDonald's invents a brand new STRAW just in time for Shamrock Shake season. Here's how to get one!

With Shamrock Shake season upon us - that glorious time leading up to St. Patrick's Day when McDonald's brings back their delicious mint creations - McDonald's has introduced the world to a revolutionary new look at the traditional "straw."

To maximize the flavor of their new Chocolate Shamrock Shake (yes, the traditional treat can now be ordered with a half-and-half layer of chocolate shake, too!), McDonald's hired two engineering firms to design a STRAW ("Suction Tube for Reverse Axial Withdrawal") that will combine the mint and chocolate flavors perfectly.

McDonald's has ordered 2,000 of these revolutionary sucking machine and word on the street is they will be distributed to restaurants in only 80 cities over the next month. No word yet if the Twin Cities is one of them. But we'll keep looking for lucky four-leaf clovers that we'll see them soon.
